Police Uniforms Register - Important

The Film Artistes Association, a BECTU sub-division, has established a registrer system for protection of all Artistes who work with their own Police uniforms. Artistes must prove they have worked with their uniforms for at least 18 months prior to the application.

2012 and years to come will see UK national security increased significantly with the Olympics, Queens Golden Jubilee & terror threats causing increased focus on who is doing what and particularly who is doing what with a uniform....and why. If any Artiste is stopped and searched the "Uniform Verification Registration" should help you and the security services resolve any suspicions, allowing you to proceed to or from your place of work.

The FAA will hold computerised details to include your photo and registration number, so if required it can be accessed during any 24-hours to resolve any security problems. If you are stopped and produce your card the Officer can access the data which will verify your Name, Photo ands Registration and will prove you have met the criteria and requirements of the Union.

This is a free service to FAA/BECTU memebers.

For non members there will a fee of £60.00 per annum, which will also include a free FAA/BECTU membership with all benefits.

This card service will become the standard for the industry and will be expected to be produced by Production Companies, Vehicle Suppliers, Armourers, Agents and of course the UK security services - Police, MI5 etc.

Don't miss out and get yourself into trouble with the authorities or the industry, register now and stay safe while travelling to or from productions or photo shoots.
